Vlad and Vladimir are two car enthusiasts who turned their passion into a business by opening their own garage, specializing in repairing Mazda Miata cars. Their garage is filled with both passion and professionalism, and over time, it gained a strong reputation thanks to their high-quality work on Miatas. Now, they are looking for a visual identity to make their brand recognizable and promote their specialized services more effectively.
Summary
We worked on a brand identity project for an auto service garage, which included designing the logo and several collateral materials. The two founders were looking for something bold, clear, and representative of their vision. They wanted the branding to reflect their hands-on approach and dedication to providing quality service, while also standing out in a competitive market. The challenge was to create a visual identity that captured both their professionalism and their personal connection to the business, resulting in a strong, memorable logo and supporting materials that effectively communicated their brand.
Challenge
The two founders had a clear idea of what they wanted for their auto service garage branding: the capital letters from their names, V&V, incorporated into the logo. Initially, they were set on using just the letters in a stylish font, but we knew that something more unique was needed to make the brand truly stand out. We took it upon ourselves to propose a fresh direction that would not only meet their vision but elevate it. Through several design iterations, we introduced the idea of combining the letters with a symbol that would better represent their strong, hands-on approach while maintaining a bold and masculine look. Convincing them to step away from their original concept wasn't easy, but in the end, they were thrilled with the final design, which both stayed true to their brand and gave it a striking and professional edge.
Solutions
Our solution was to introduce an illustration into their logo to truly capture the essence of the two founders. We created a bold black-and-white illustration of them, cleverly shaping their features to represent the two V's. The lines are thick and striking, with minimal details, just enough to highlight their most distinctive features without overwhelming the design. The result is a logo that fully represents them—professional yet personal. It evokes the idea of a trustworthy auto service garage, where customers not only receive expert care but also feel a personal connection with the team behind the brand. This personal touch adds warmth and trust to their brand identity, making it stand out in a crowded market.
